doesn't play cartridges at all by my understanding! just plug and play.

yeah it just plays these 30 games, basically just a little box with a NES emulator in it.

oh word. i still have most of those cartridges and a couple ways to play them (bootleg 'FC Twin' NES + SNES, old NES). but a tiny emulator with most of my favorite games is tempting.

It's got a majority of ILX's top 20 3rd-gen (aka top 20 NES) games, but it's missing a few:

#6: Contra (although Super C is there)
#9: Ducktales
#11: River City Ransom
#12: Bionic Commando
#13: Tetris
#17: TMNT II
#19: Super Dodge Ball

xp neither of those games have even been nominated for the 4th gen poll crut, get on it

I'd be more inclined to get it if it included 3-D Worldrunner and RC Pro-Am, my two favorite nes games.

Bionic Commando would have been a nice addition too, I liked that one. Maybe Rush N Attack. Tetris seems like sort of a glaring omission, but I assume there was something to the decision-making process here other than "what are the 20 most classic NES games."
