signed up for the 2010 series (final C4 series), got through 2 rounds of auditions but pulled out in favour of finishing my useless journalism MA. a schoolmate's cousin was big news at endemol and i was told it was on a plate for me if i wanted. their token posho ended up being much duller than me but obviously i spared myself a fate more abysmal than ilx

what was the appeal of it?

narcissism (i thought i'd go on and be grandly subversive and metatextual, not aware of this conceit's irony) plus a complete lack of direction after undergrad plus yknow it was something not entirely uninteresting
