Grimes/Claire Boucher thread

It must be me, but I keep hearing the melody of this over Artangels and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not.

Fine pop tune with ace vocalist with pedigree. Whats not to like?

Whatever pop station they play at my gym played Flesh Without Blood today.

Flesh without blood seems to quote Bubble Pop briefly

so our four yr old's favorite musician is officially Grimes and his favorite music video is Realiti. he made some fan art for it too, complete with lyrics. i've caught him singing 'oh baby every morning there are mountains to climb' on a handful of occasions.

I haven't paid much attention to the critical discourse surrounding this record, but the Pokemon thing was apparent to me from first listen.

It's not even the best song off the album! Butterfly and Eazily are current favorites. Of the singles I think flesh is my least favorite. Kill maim and the song that samples Rihanna are better.

Realiti (demo) is the best Grimes song this year, though.

I couldn't find a physical copy of Art Angels (any format) anywhere in London yesterday. I traipsed all over, looking.

Either the NME has some influence still or it's a complete irrelevance, not sure which.

don't think the physical copy is out for another few days still
