Seems like Aroldis Chapman is top on the deal list for the Reds. Looking at the possibilities, I'd think he might end up going to Houston. They got position player prospects to deal and seem to be ready to make a run. I'd think the Yankees would maybe take a shot at Chapman, as you got to think the crazy fastball and The Missile's showmanship would probably play well in the Bronx.

I just keep wondering how long until the Blue Jays just plunk down the Canadian cash and get Joey Votto from the Reds. It might not happen after the big flip, but there was some talk of swapping with Jose Bautista to the Reds in a deal for Votto, but that was before you knew how JV would play coming out of the injury.

newcomb is really good, but only has seven starts above class a, and half of those came in an extreme pitchers park (arkansas)

Barves also got $3 million.

Acc to a FB person, Angels pitchers were last in the majors in ground ball percentage allowed.

Fascinating trade -- I like it for both teams and yet I have no idea how it will pan out long term. A huge range of outcomes are in play.

the angels are kind of a really shitty franchise

they had like four good position players and one good pitching prospect and trade one of those position players and that pitching prospect for a marginal upgrade at SS. at least simmons is on a good contract but smh.
