Nominations are closed, it's just that Frobisher's gone off to live his life like some sort of fvlse.

this is clearly all being driven by the level of enthusiasm of the poll runners, so it kinda doesn't matter what anyone "votes" if the poll runner isn't available/doesn't want to do it.

No webform to my knowledge, people just email you with whatever they think is the correct format/whatever format.

yeah honestly most of the work is just getting everyone's ballots into a consistent format, correcting spelling/grammer errors to make everything consistent etc.

seandalai uses a webform for metal poll and the big poll. Frobisher wants to use that. So hopefully seandalai will see this

if done properly people copy and paste nominations directly from the spreadsheet to voting form and that saves the hassle of correcting peoples mistakes.

Yeah I had that with the epics poll, but I still got ballots where people typed in the entries.

you always get some dick who doesnt do it and just dumps a list they made for elsewhere, but you just ignore those - fuck them if they dont follow instructions imo.

Oh hey, sorry I'm not on ILX much as I used to be...Anyway, it's really easy to make a Google Form to log the ballots (go to Google Docs and select New->Form iirc), though you do have to create a new one each time.

The code I use for tabulating big polls is not particularly user-friendly (though I should put it up on github or somewhere anyway), I think the Excel spreadsheet is going to be be much easier to use. Happy to answer questions though.

I am really bad at math and don't know Excel at all but I had no trouble running the Elvis Costello poll using the spreadsheet.
