Horrible 70s album titles like I've Got My Own Album To Do

Just got an email about an album called Ladies and Gentlemen...Nigel Hall - the debut album by a dude of that name - and was immediately disappointed by the headshot cover art, because I just knew that if it was the 70s, the label art director would have found some town somewhere with a building named Nigel Hall and made this guy stand stone-faced in the street in front of it for the album cover.

Two also from David Bromberg, "You Should See the Rest of the Band" is actually from 1980 but deserves to be highlighted because it's called "You Should See the Rest of the Band"...

I guess it's from '81, if you're willing to allow a little leeway for the sake of awfulness.

Lorraine Frisaura, "Be Happy For Me"

I'm happy for you, Lorraine, you got to make your album and yet I am sad that I have still not heard from Paul Bogush Jr. again, even on 8-track:

Everybody In America Should Sing would have made the cut as well, I reckon.

Would've been perfect if "Expect To Hear From Me Again" was stretched across Tracks 3 and 4.

Anyone remember what happened to Bogush after the tragic accident that robbed him of his voice?

OH MY...40th Anniversary of Ronnie Wood's "I've Got My Own Album To Do." It seemed appropriate to post this here.

Please take that to the "Horrible 80s album titles like Peter's Back" thread.

Moe Bandy - "I Just Started Hatin' Cheatin' Songs Today"

I think the broken whiskey bottles are a nice touch.

earlnash, Sunday, 8 November 2015 15:59 (eight years ago) link

It's hard to tell from the pic but in the photo Moe has just smashed the jukebox with a bottle of Evan Williams. Really good LP.

that one seems so classically country though, not sure it fits the thread

wow, never seen that one before. as far as Rod goes, about once a month i think of snoball's "'Hungover & Feeling Rough As Shit' more like" and start giggling.

popular to contrary belief is def one of the A+ ones on the thread

though Roger Miller "Making A Name For Myself" will never be topped

i really seriously couldn't believe it when i found that roger miller. my hands were shaking. if i ever see a copy in real life i'm buying it on the spot, at any price.
