One of my favorite albums ever but I was debating whether or not it belonged on an 'Extreme' metal list. Now that it's been nominated I'm definitely going to vote for it though.

I've actually seen death metal fans online saying thrash isnt extreme metal .
Reminds me of those (funnily enough some are thrash metal fans) who say the original heavy metal bands of the 70s arent metal.

I am way more familiar with the first one (which I love and will vote for whenever this poll happens), but listening to the excellent second one today, and love it. So thick, almost doomy, and a rare example of understated (yet outstanding) drumming in a death metal record. Great riffs, great mood, great production.
