most shows I go to (and I go to a lot) are between $8 - $20 so it makes those occasional expensive ones easier to justify.

Fairrrrly sure I haven't gone over £25. Think both Perfume and Kyary were that plus train fare to get there. Residents possibly the same?

Apart from festivals (which I haven't really been to in years anyway) I think maybe £35 to see Motorhead/Damned/Girlschool a few years ago?

Apart from festivals, I can't think of any I've 'pushed the boat out' for. Quite a few that would cost a fortune if they did a gig now, though.
Even the Velvet Underground wasn't a silly price.

The Prince one (the Lovesexy/Black Album Wembley Arena one) might have been a bit pricey, but I can't remember how much.

daren't think about how much it would cost the promoter to get VU back together for one last tour

I remember Masada at Yoshi's being really expensive compared to what I was used to...$30-35? Compared to what single show tickets cost these days, festival passes like FIMAV and Big Ears seem like really good value for the dollar.

I *think* my highest was the same Prince tour that mookie and VG referred to -- the show I saw was at the then-MCI Center in Washington, DC. I was pretty high up, but it was worth every penny. I may have paid a bit more for one of the McCartney shows I've been to.

Around £250 to see Madonna couple years back, Golden circle, early entry, "special gift" (rubbish watch). I've been a fan half my life and never seen her, thought I'd go all out. Absolutely worth it, minus the watch.

When Bjork went on the Vespertine tour, first one since the 90s, I freaked out and ended up spending around $400 on tickets to a show of hers in another state. I got 8 tickets, scalped half of them, and flew me a 3 friends to Boston to see her play. It was incredible.
I tried the trick again later when Weezer came back and lost a bunch of money on it.

$120 to see the first nine inch nails tour in five years (tension 2013). honestly, the NIN show i paid less for (like 40ish with fees for lights in the sky 2008) was a bit better, but the seats for this one were p great loge box ones at TD garden. and godspeed you! black emperor opened, which was dope.

NIN/Jane's Addiction was probably my second most expensive, Mansfield MA in 2009. I must have paid somewhere in the $50s.
