guys i need to eliminate this business associate and im really nervous (Laurel), Monday, 30 March 2009 19:40 (5 years ago) Permalink

i loved the attempt to spruce that place up - several years ago there was a what appeared to be an oriental rug, long and narrow like a runner, hung on the wall above the bar. awesome.

edb, Monday, 30 March 2009 19:42 (5 years ago) Permalink

there are new board games? oh just what we need

Dr Morbius, Tuesday, 31 March 2009 05:50 (5 years ago) Permalink

settler's of catan has been around for at least 10yrs, bill.

ian, Tuesday, 31 March 2009 05:52 (5 years ago) Permalink

that's NEW

Dr Morbius, Tuesday, 31 March 2009 05:53 (5 years ago) Permalink

so set in your ways.

ian, Tuesday, 31 March 2009 05:56 (5 years ago) Permalink

btw, i went to motor city for the first time tonight and am 99% sure i know the bartender from the record store--she's in a band with my co-worker's ex, but i can't remember he name.

ian, Tuesday, 31 March 2009 05:58 (5 years ago) Permalink

not true -- i went to a honkytonk in Texas tnite!

xp

Dr Morbius, Tuesday, 31 March 2009 05:58 (5 years ago) Permalink

first time for everything, but the point remains, you are unwilling to give "new" boardgames a chance and that is SAD.

ian, Tuesday, 31 March 2009 05:59 (5 years ago) Permalink

still so disappointed that motor city changed its pinball machine

blue and gold seems to be pretty board game friendly - i mean they have a hand painted monopoly board on one of their tables

ice cr?m, Tuesday, 31 March 2009 14:35 (5 years ago) Permalink

so has anyone been to the new brooklyn public house on dekalb - it is supposed to be a gastro pub which is apparently some horrible britishes terminology - are they into dork games i dont know

ice cr?m, Tuesday, 31 March 2009 14:38 (5 years ago) Permalink

brooklyn public house's food was very basic and kinda gross. nothing gastro pub about it.

mizzell, Tuesday, 31 March 2009 14:46 (5 years ago) Permalink

i have played a whole helluva lot of board games including yr precious girlfriend "settlers of catan" and they are just not a fun way to spend time imho. i am only down if it is a game of uno.

ice cr?m, Tuesday, 31 March 2009 14:50 (5 years ago) Permalink

rip dom passantino 3/5/09 never forget (max), Tuesday, 31 March 2009 15:04 (5 years ago) Permalink

Althought elements of this expansion were available separately from 2004 to 2007, this pack did not release in English until 2008. It combines elements of fishing, events, expanded trading, barbarian attacks, camel trains, and much more to make a more well-rounded playing experience.

i don't have many favorite bars... it's like what's cheap and nearby kind of thing.

max, Monday, 23 April 2012 17:20 (2 years ago) Permalink

Hot Chicken is Nashville-style spicy fried chicken.

mizzell, Monday, 23 April 2012 18:01 (2 years ago) Permalink

iirc peaches in bed stuy has hot chicken?

one dis leads to another (ian), Monday, 23 April 2012 18:19 (2 years ago) Permalink

which i guess isn't what the sign that gives hot bird its name is talking about since it says no frying. i just want a place called hot bird to have it.

mizzell, Monday, 23 April 2012 18:20 (2 years ago) Permalink

commodore in williamsburg does it, too.
xp

mizzell, Monday, 23 April 2012 18:20 (2 years ago) Permalink

huh, well the bbq place next to hot bird is owned by the peaches folks

max, Monday, 23 April 2012 19:40 (2 years ago) Permalink

so it's basically smoke joint? still a little mad at those guys for closing little piggy which was the best place to eat in the neighborhood for a while, but smoke joint is always packed so i guess they know what they're doing.

mizzell, Monday, 23 April 2012 19:47 (2 years ago) Permalink

i think its better than smoke joint but i havent eaten at smoke joint in a while. definitely cheaper.
