Tomic's season hasn't been bad, he just seems to be injured all the time

for me his game is still more fun to watch than kyrgios' and kokk's

Coric had a nightmare of a time trying to close out Robredo in that set, he's really going to need to develop his kill shots. When Robredo is the more aggressive one and you can only close out a set because of his UEs...

Watson should be a case study in why demanding counterpunchers and retrievers should PLAY MORE AGGRESSIVELY!!!!1111 should be banned. Everyone always imagines the ideal of a speedy player who can hit winners at will but you often just end up with a tactically confused player who doesn't have the power to dominate with basher tennis and makes a ton of errors instead

Didn't expect Cornet to come out so tight after using home support so well in R1, but...she was tight against Townsend in R2 last year too. Great to see Mirjana hitting her spots so far, had feared she'd bury herself in errors...

I only half-watched Federer/Dzumhur but every time I looked at the TV there was some tremendously fun shotmaking happening from both. Fed's BH seemed particularly on song

Dzumhur is v little but I hope he sticks around, entertaining player, sorta like the New Rochus

Pennetta has reached the QF or better of 4 of her past 7 Slams - but only six other Tour events in that period.
