While some people find not wearing underwear to be sexually exciting, and some people regard knowing that their sex partner is not wearing underwear to be erotic, most that go commando do so for their own comfort, or other reasons such as a medical condition or how they were raised.

On the November 13, 2008, episode of Late Night with Conan O'Brien, during the "Late Night Sausage Party" skit, the announcer (Brian McCann) makes phallic double entendres about every guest, and says of Boz Scaggs, "That hit singer of 'Lido'... he can sure fill a speedo!" Conan tells him that the song's name is actually "Lido Shuffle," and after the announcer is audibly trying to figure out a rhyme, he tells Conan to shut up.

Zoo has been reviewed on a number of websites. Two rate the novel somewhat positively and one rates it very positively. The review on the Hutchinson Leader website says, in part, "It's a page turner that's for sure. The ending is sort of lame, but overall I enjoyed it."[6] A review of a CD version, by Publishers Weekly, states that, "While the book’s conclusion may strain credulity…Oz presents his case so positively and persuasively that it’s not until the final disc plays that anyone is likely to care."[7]

The Bookreporter.com website rates Zoo as very positive, saying, "What is really chilling about ZOO is its plausibility. You may not agree with all of the points of view presented here, but at the very least it will keep you reading—and thinking—from first page to last."[8]

Present-day descriptions of the event often refer to the beverage not as Kool-Aid but as Flavor Aid,[7] a less-expensive product reportedly found at the site.[8] Kraft Foods, the maker of Kool-Aid, has stated the same.[9][10] Implied by this accounting of events is that the reference to the Kool-Aid brand owes exclusively to its being better-known among Americans. Others are less categorical.[11] Both brands are known to have been among the commune's supplies: Film footage shot inside the compound prior to the events of November shows Jones opening a large chest in which boxes of both Flavor Aid and Kool-Aid are visible.[12] Criminal investigators testifying at the Jonestown inquest spoke of finding packets of "cool aid" (sic), and eyewitnesses to the incident are also recorded as speaking of "cool aid" or "Cool Aid."[13]

I just love the phrasing, "As of May 2015..." which suggests one is reading about the middle stages of an unfolding controversy. As of April 25th, no official explanation had been offered for the failure of the north percolator, or a confirmed death toll, even as highly-caffeinated waste runoff continued to flow from the plant. [23][24] As of May 2015...

Per the 2011 DC continuity reboot, Aquaman's telepathy has been greatly downplayed: acknowledging that most marine life doesn't possess enough intelligence to carry a meaningful telepathic communication, Aquaman is now stated to simply add compulsions and needs in the mindset of aquatic life, compelling them to do his bidding by a subtle altering of their cerebellum.

The original screenplay was titled Hot Lunch and this was the title for the film until part-way through shooting when director Alan Parker noted a pornographic film showing on 42nd Street with the same title. For the rest of the shooting schedule of 14 weeks the script was just labeled "title".[5] David De Silva noted that the porno film starred Al Parker so that confusion might ensue if the original title remained.[6]

this is not really an 'unusual detail', but the wikipedia article for Phil Collins has a bizarrely long section about Collins' status as a hate figure, subdivided into three parts (Critical and public perceptions, Criticism from other artists + Collins's stance and defenders). I wonder if it built up gradually as pro and anti Collins partisans each added more and more quotes and references in retaliation against each other?

Schünzel's work was very popular in Germany and the Nazi regime gave him the title of Ehrenarier or Honorary Aryan and allowed him to continue to direct and act despite he was a Jew ( A Jew is any person whose mother was a Jew or any person who has gone through the process of conversion to Judaism). Aryan comes from the Sanskrit aria, which means noble, and according to the Nazi ideology an Aryan is a Caucasian of non- Jewish descent

Bathrooms[edit]

Leave It to Beaver is unique in 1950s television sitcom history for its extraordinary number of bathroom scenes. Beaver and Wally have an en-suite bathroom, and many scenes are set in it. One early episode, "Child Care," is set almost entirely in their bathroom.[53] Other episodes include major scenes set in the boys' bathroom.[54][55] Additionally, in almost every scene set in the boys' bedroom, the bathtub, shower curtain, or vanity can be seen through the open bathroom door. Beaver uses the bathroom several times to escape his brother when angry, slamming the door to express his emotions. At such times, June and Ward are called upon to order Beaver to vacate his refuge. In "Beaver's Good Deed,"[45] a scene is set in Ward and June's bathroom. A tramp takes a bath in their tub and slips away wearing one of Ward's suits and a pair of his shoes. In the "Captain Jack" episode, Wally and Beaver try to hide a baby alligator they bought by keeping it in their bathroom's toilet tank.

The bathroom paragraph suggests either (a) a fetishist whose familiarity with the show is limited solely to this topic, (b) a crackpot fan with a theory no one believes in, or (c) a sorta garbled gloss of someone's graduate thesis in the humanities, the latter also possibly written by A or B.

Was Leave It to Beaver the first prime-time network program to show a toilet? Not quite. It can lay claim to being the first series to show a toilet tank, however, and to be among the earliest programs to show a bathroom in any form.
