The picture looks terrible, but in a really strange way. Why do the 'RZ-1' and the screen look very sharp compared to everything else?

In the file history and rights information for that image it says it is a derivative work of this:
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Stolmen%26samplers_@_bdu%27s_studio.jpg
In that photo, the RZ-1 is the lower of two machines to the left of the main rig. The photo is shot from a completely different angle and you cannot see the RZ-1's screen (it appears to be turned off) or the Casio logo (it is partially obscured by something). If that file information is correct, some incredibly heavy image manipulation must have been done to make it appear that it was photographed from directly overhead. In addition, the illuminated screen and Casio logo must surely be separate elements pasted in from another source image. Either that or the image of the keyboard rig is not the source for the RZ-1 image, contrary to what is stated.
Incidentally I used to have an RZ-1. I bought it new in 1987 and was excited by the idea you could sample sounds into it, but one problem I found was that the sampled sounds wouldn't line up with the onboard sounds. The sampler recorded a few milliseconds of noise or space at the front before the (for example) snare hit, making the sampled snare sound late compared to the onboard sounds when combined in a sequence. The Wikipedia page mentions this (with no citation). I had forgotten that I edited it about five years ago to add that information.

apparently in the span of thirteen episodes:_Due to the negative critical and public reaction to the show, the producers made changes to Mrs. Columbo almost immediately. The spin-off was renamed Kate Columbo, followed by Kate the Detective, and finally Kate Loves a Mystery. The main character was likewise renamed "Kate Callahan"; all references to and ties with the original Columbo show were dropped. After this, a reference was made in the show to Kate's divorce: the character was no longer Mrs. Columbo nor was she meant to have any connection with him at all._

in photoshop an image can be stretched like this fairly easily. then, yes, they've pasted on the logos and screen, and touched up the edges and added fake depth.

I don't know why they bothered when the finished image looks like absolute shit. Admittedly the other RZ-1 images on Flickr are set to 'All Rights Reserved' but the owners might be willing to waive that if you bothered to ask them nicely for permission to use the image on Wikipedia. There are loads more on Google Images, as well.

Bob Marley and associated Jamaican reggae acts The Wailers, and Peter Tosh feature prominently in Sublime's songs, as do other Jamaican reggae and dancehall acts such as Born Jamericans, Toots & the Maytals, The Melodians, Wayne Smith, Tenor Saw, Frankie Paul, The Wailing Souls, Barrington Levy, Half Pint and Yellowman. The band additionally covered "Smoke Two Joints" originally by Oregon-based reggae group The Toyes.[19]
Sublime was also heavily influenced by the 1980s and 1990s hip-hop and rap scene of Los Angeles and New York City, alluding to or borrowing from such acts as N.W.A and Eazy-E (who died 14 months before Nowell), the Beastie Boys, Just-Ice, Public Enemy and Flavor Flav, KRS-One, Doug E. Fresh, Too $hort, Mobb Deep, as well as the Philadelphia-based rapper Steady B and Texas hip-hop The Geto Boys.[19]
The southern California metal, surf rock and punk scene influencing Sublime includes Big Drill Car (who were thanked in the first two albums), The Ziggens, Minutemen, The Descendents, Bad Religion, The Bel-Airs, Butthole Surfers, Secret Hate, as well as fellow fusion band Fishbone. Sublime was also influenced by Washington, DC hardcore acts such as Minor Threat, Fugazi (who were also thanked in the first album) and Bad Brains. The band also referenced popular California bands like Grateful Dead, The Doors, and Red Hot Chili Peppers, the famous British rock band The Beatles as well as Swedish pop band ABBA. They also referenced local LA composer Frank Zappa. [19]
A few references are made to funk, R&B, and soul bands such as James Brown, the Ohio Players, Jimi Hendrix, Aswad, as well as a smattering of Irish, Scottish and English bands like Boomtown Rats, The Specials, and Primal Scream.

Conan tells him that the song's name is actually "Lido Shuffle," and after the announcer is audibly trying to figure out a rhyme, he tells Conan to shut up.

Zoo has been reviewed on a number of websites. Two rate the novel somewhat positively and one rates it very positively. The review on the Hutchinson Leader website says, in part, "It's a page turner that's for sure. The ending is sort of lame, but overall I enjoyed it."[6] A review of a CD version, by Publishers Weekly, states that, "While the book’s conclusion may strain credulity…Oz presents his case so positively and persuasively that it’s not until the final disc plays that anyone is likely to care."[7]
The Bookreporter.com website rates Zoo as very positive, saying, "What is really chilling about ZOO is its plausibility. You may not agree with all of the points of view presented here, but at the very least it will keep you reading—and thinking—from first page to last."[8]

Present-day descriptions of the event often refer to the beverage not as Kool-Aid but as Flavor Aid,[7] a less-expensive product reportedly found at the site.[8] Kraft Foods, the maker of Kool-Aid, has stated the same.[9][10] Implied by this accounting of events is that the reference to the Kool-Aid brand owes exclusively to its being better-known among Americans. Others are less categorical.[11] Both brands are known to have been among the commune's supplies: Film footage shot inside the compound prior to the events of November shows Jones opening a large chest in which boxes of both Flavor Aid and Kool-Aid are visible.[12] Criminal investigators testifying at the Jonestown inquest spoke of finding packets of "cool aid" (sic), and eyewitnesses to the incident are also recorded as speaking of "cool aid" or "Cool Aid."[13]
