there's a part where he thinks her being wrong about something (how can you choose your gender but sexuality is inborn HMM?? -- his failure to understand things as anything other than binary is a defining trait of his thinking) and the sudden jump to condescending to her about LOGIC from then on is just so sad. it's all pretty much extremely sad.

the cultural logic of a lot of PUA stuff (sometimes stated openly) is that a properly-ordered society -- that is, a patriarchal one where women were under control of fathers and husbands -- would prevent them from doing what they do. the ideological justification for serial lying and manipulation of women is that society is ruined and you can do whatever you want to enjoy yourself in the ruins. some dudes need a world-spanning story to buck themselves up for another night throwing out cheeseball lines and bumping into other dudes in the shoulder i guess.
