"I know, why don't we call the band, Toe Fat!"

A trumpet growing in a garden (Tom D.), Monday, 2 February 2015 17:12 (nine years ago) link

i feel like the 70s is the sweet spot but i don't want to not see truly terrible album titles just because they happen to be from 1968 or 1982

There's definitely a "long 70s" that could be marked out precisely by the sensibility that informs these album covers.

feel like 80-82 is v 70s still at least in the US

That Toe Fat album is fantastic; one of my all-time favorites. (It's pretty good, too.)

The cover to their second album, Two, is less creepy than just disgusting:

That's not the proper cover though. This is the real one (Hypgnosis btw)

re: Toe Fat

For the US release, a man and a topless woman in the background were replaced by the image of a sheep.

lol

I would be comforted to learn that following his debut, seen upthread, James Bogush, Jr. shaved off his mustache, got a haircut, and formed Uncle Willard.

Ha, indeed, perfect casting for a Fleetwood Mac or Peter Green biopic.
