rly hope someone who's met me will rush in and vehemently deny this

i have a disproportionate number of friends who went to the Iowa Writer's Workshop, so i look forward to seeing this & hearing how they got it wrong.

from a friend on facebook: "The one thing they got right: Lena Dunham is definitely the type of person who would corner you in a booth at the Foxhead after workshop and demand to know why you hated her story so much."

I can't speak to it's realism, but this was def the most enjoyable episode in a long, long time

Ray is good but honestly that episode was terrible and Elijah is a ray of sunshine and I need him in my life so I'm glad he's being featured so heavily. Jess is just so fucking unlikable.

well the good news is that this coming episode is another solo Bruce Eric Kaplan episode. he's done 2 on his own before; Video Games (the amazing one where they go to Jessa's Dad's place) in Season 2 and Flo (the one with Hannah's Grandmother in the hospital, pretty much the best episode of the show IMO) in Season 3. so .. yay i say.

Jess is p objectively horrible as a human being

occasionally the show tries to depict her as less horrible by giving her flashes of being brutally honest w people but it's all pretty gross on the whole

re Jessa - yeah I just can't. I know they try to do this but just everything about her bothers me so much. She's just . . . completely obnoxious.

i like how hateable she is. as far as the commitment of the actress etc

"Nepotism" would be like if Lena Dunham was Judd Apatow's daughter and Marnie Williams was the daughter of an HBO exec. There are an awful lot of actors/writers/directors in the world who are children of other successful people.
