I saw them the other day in a basement and can attest that the either the mic wasn't working or the vocals were completely buried in the mix, such as it was. I heard vocals from other bands so I am assuming it's an aesthetic choice.

overall the sound was shitty, but the vocals were as upfront as you'd expect from any band

I love the energy but my attitude toward the vocals varies - I think the effect works amazingly well on "Interference Fits" when the first thing you really understand is "since when do we say yes to love?"

homage to them in the new "House of Cards" season.

separate from the Pussy Riot stand-in or did that also reference PP? (I've only been able to half concentrate on this season, not explicitly trashy enough.)
