Walsh also embodies the "Hey here's my album, whaddya want from me?" rueful shrug and grin that is implied by all these titles, his whole persona is sort of based on this aethestic

Okay, who remembers seeing this stuff in the record stores and feeling sorry for these people. When those covers are 12" x 12" and sitting in the bins while Bee Gees albums cover the walls, you just feel sad and angry and go, "what's up with that?"

As a kid I would have wanted those Joe Walsh albums, but paper routes don't pay enough.

"Who Are Thoes Guys?" is perfect, though if it had quotation marks or a pointless bit of emphasis (a la Commander Cody) it'd pretty much have the genre locked up.

Doesn't belong on this thread because (I think) this is some sort of post punk thing, but for years I thought had imagined this album title but there it is, large as life.
