Holidays must be a blast at your respective places. What is a family get-together without some uncle bitching about taxes? Pluralism can be fun.

Then again my parents weren't Republicans, I was raised on New Deal politics from a young age. Not like I have a bible-beater in my family closet.

Besides, few things tick me off more than, say, a vocal abortion rights person who doesn't make time for issues of racial or economic injustice.

I don't really interact w the GOP relatives in my family unless there's a funeral/wedding we all happen to be at. immediate family and in-laws are all Dems on both sides (there are still disagreements about things, of course)
