for some reason i really really dont like this even though it's ostensibly my wheelhouse.

All the songs so far released to the public are in a mould that the rest of the album does not fit, and in such a way that makes her definitely a singles artist.

I like this album in the same way I like the Sage the Gemini album. Fairly anonymous but fun and well-executed genre music.
