"Driver Friendly" is a bit better (shouty group vocals >>> frontman vocals), and I could easily see myself falling hard for a well-crafted album of similar stuff

i've talked about this in the emo thread but i think records are incredibly produced given that they're an austin band no one really knows about, and their guitar tones are like totally gleaming & phosphorescent

most of my favorite bands in this genre have two vocalists, and i really like how driver friendly use two sort of identical singers to explore simultaneous yet digressionary rhythms which also tend to recombine and add momentum to each other? again kinda like early brand new.

I definitely hear the Dananananakroyd here, which is nice since I loved that band's first album, the second not so much.
