The railway attempted to buy the land it occupies. A bid of £1 was submitted in view of the high cost of removing asbestos covered pipes alongside the line. The bid was rejected by M-real.[4] English Heritage is considering whether or not to list the 118-span Milton Regis Viaduct. As well as the railway, the future of three feral cats that live under the café at Kemsley was also threatened. The Sittingbourne & Kemsley Light Railway was originally planned to reopen on Good Friday 2012 but discovery of asbestos at the lineside caused a postponement to Sunday 27 May when the line between Sittingbourne Viaduct and Kemsley Down stations was finally reopened.

I didn't hear about the Young Ones until I was in eighth grade when they started showing them on MTV. One of the seniors couldn't get through telling us about an episode without dying in tears, laughing so hard. And one of the bits he made sure to mention was "And in every episode, there's this dude that looked like Reggie Sleenrod sitting like THIS that no one even acknowledges."

I was kinda mad to find out later that he wasn't in every episode.

i don't think most of them stand up very well in terms of funny, tbh, but the sets are always dense with peripheral stuff going on so i'm sure lots of us have noticed this before and then forgot about it

That doesn't make much sense to me... Can trivia somehow be copyrighted? If Columbo really had a first name, and this Worth dude had mentioned it in his book, how could he have owned the copyright to that fact? IIRC these kind of copyright traps (intentional misspellings etc) are normally used to discover case where someone else has copied (parts of) your text wholesale and used it as their own, but I doubt the Trivial Pursuit card had the same exact wording as this guy's book.

The bigger question is what dicks the Trivial Pursuit people were in making up questions back then. I mean that is actually just not knowable information by any reasonable standard, I hate shit like that.

Yeah, but who wants to play Trivial Pursuit with four people looking to relax and scratch their brains a little for wacky facts, and one person who clobbers them because they've memorized the Trivia Encyclopedia? Basic calibration problem with the game in general IMO.

I raged a few years ago playing TP on the front porch of a friend's house for money. This wasn't some sort of "Moops" deal either.

The question was "What is the oldest baseball stadium still in use in MLB?" and I said Fenway. Guy says "Wrong! It's Tiger Stadium!" which of course was closed in 1999 and demolished a few years later.

We had an argument over "What the answer was when the card was printed" vs "What are the true and actual facts that exist in the present day?" that more or less ended with "Just go ahead and take the money then" and "I don't want your fucking money, I want you to say that I'm RIGHT."

Worse game than Monopoly.

Feud with Aggro Berlin
On 11 March 2009, Chronik 2 was released, an album featuring the Selfmade Records artists. The song "Westdeutschlands Kings" performed by Kollegah, Favorite and Farid Bang, targeted insults at Sido, Fler and Kitty Kat from Aggro Berlin.[12]

On 13 March, a song titled "Früher wart ihr Fans" was released by Fler, Kitty Kat and Godsilla as a reaction. In the song, they accuse Selfmade Records artists of having created the feud for the sole purpose of marketing their album; Kitty Kat also attacks Favorite by referring to the death of his parents, who died in a car accident.

Kollegah responded on 20 March with the song "Fanpost", calling Fler a "fat potato" and claims that he was penetrated with a carrot.[13]

Fabio rode in the first car of Apollo's Chariot, a roller coaster, during its first ride. During the rapid descent on the 210-foot drop after the lift hill, a goose collided with Fabio, leaving his nose covered in blood.
