a couple of homemade rubber band balls have more resistance than any of the devices you can buy. Go to staples and buy a bag of rubber bands and make yourself a couple that are just a little smaller than a baseball. Crush them every day for hours while you listen to an old korean lady dodder on about her native language. I think a few other ilxors have seen my forearms.

i had a jazz professor who swore by picking up a few newspaper pages and crumpling them up into a small ball using only one hand. it's harder than it sounds!

ok I got to try out one of those powerball things today, a coworker brought it in. I think I'm going to get one. They aren't kidding about the torque, I don't even think I got it going very fast and I was getting some BURN in my extensors

powerball update, after using it on both arms for about 20-30 minutes a day last week, I got those weird pins and needles/numbness in my hands during the past couple of days from new muscle growth pinching the nerves. I know the feeling because I've had it before when I had a full calisthenics regimen I did every other day

i've never done it, but I see dudes in the gym using a weight plate attached to short wooden dowel with a couple of feet of rope. hold your arms out and rotate the dowel (parallel to ground) to raise and lower the weight.
