The curse of the 3 minute wait:
Visiting by myself, I sat at the bar. Because I'm that kind of nut for decent service, I timed my wait. I sat for 3 full minutes at the bar before I was in any way acknowledged, before any of the 3 servers came by to ask me what I wanted. At this time, about 3:45 in the afternoon on a weekday, there were about 10 people seated at the U-shaped bar, which holds 18-20.
I ordered a 512 Pale Ale and a menu. The beer was cold, but so was the glass, which drives me crazy. No room temperature glasses were available. I got the beer, but no menu, as the complicated two part request was apparently still being processed. Once the menu was fetched and delivered, I waited another full 3 minutes with an obviously perused and closed menu extended across the bar in front of me, the universal symbol for "I have decided and am ready to order." Crickets. Three bartenders, and from time to time another person (manager?) behind the bar and no one asked for my order.

!!?! Has this person never heard of stubby holders if they insist on their glass somehow magically never getting cold with a fucking cold drink in it.
― the Bronski Review (Trayce), Tuesday, 29 July 2014 23:16 (nine years ago) link
It's best if they preheat the glass, though there is always a risk that the cold liquid these places always insist on putting in there will bring it down closer to ambient room temperature by the time it reaches one's hand. The day a bartender finally listens to my request for a perfectly empty pint glass at 200 degrees Fahrenheit is the day you, dear readers, will finally see a 4 star review from yours truly. (I pre-dock them a point because, let's face it, that place would be so packed as to ruin the entire experience anyway.)

I just left this establishment with a group of my friends and we just got assaulted by some crazy girl and her boyfriend. The girl threw a full coke can at my friend's head , spit in my other friend's face, yanked our hair, and was swinging at us. At one point her boyfriend was also swinging at my female friends. While all this was happening, the employees just stood there and did not even ask them to leave. We even begged them to call the cops and they told us we could call the cops ourselves. They do not care about the safety of their customers.
