ILM Ballot Polls for 2014 and beyond -- order, timing, "I would have voted if I'd known about it," etc

I don't even know anymore. Somebody who wants to go next just step up and go. If Clemenza's school break means he'd have time now, YLT seems like a good option. The big list seems more optional every day.

Maybe there's just a natural lull in enthusiasm for conducting/voting in the big artist polls. Would gladly (still) participate in a Ramones poll, though.

summer's tough, most people's routines get shaken up

I'm going to have to wait until next summer for Yo La Tengo--sorry. I had mentioned somewhere above about moving down the list a bit, so that it roughly times out to next July.

People are slightly burnt out on ballot polls, so let's try to reinvigorate things with...Autechre! Solid idea.

Oh, I've been sick... I can still do it though graphics probably will look buttsy for an artist with such a memorable visual aesthetic (at least via TDR). If you're graphic designer or something, you can go for it.

1940s would be cool, but that would be an even deeper excavation for me (and for a lot of people) than even the 1950s poll was. I just don't have it in me to do something like that right now, even though the 1950s poll was the greatest ballot poll ever in the history of ILM.

Well with Classic Rock done and nothing else bubbling, I'm happy to start the Ramones poll this weekend. It'd be a good end-of-summer poll, I guess. I'll need to leave it open about three weeks to account for a planned vacation.

2. Would it be crazy to maybe do multiple polls at once if the list is this huge? I mean you get like 3 or 4 weeks to make up ballots and do ppl ever really vote in back to back polls?

2. Alfred votes in just about every one of these, near as I can tell, and more power to him. But yeah, I've always thought there should be more overlapping, if not simultaneous polls. All these things need is enthusiasm, which seems to be in short supply all around lately (classic rock aside). I know I don't have any to spare.

Speaking of which, if anybody would like to take over from me on the Hendrix and Solo Beatles polls, I'd be happy to turn those over to you. I'd still like to handle the Bacharach one.

I was spreadsheet illiterate before Zeppelin but it turned out not to be too hard.

A lot of it is just punching in stuff, and eventually doing some organization.
