he tried to kill her and she felt betrayed

The plot is just Terminator 2 which I am fine with. They even had the time traveler wake up nude!
Haha, yes!
Wished the future-set scenes, and numerous other conspicuous FX sequences, weren't so butt-ugly. Like, even when I'm watching this at home in two dimensions, I know that I'm watching something that was made for 3D.

The Terminator came out after the original story though! Cameron might've got the idea from Claremont and Byrne for all we know.

Not the nude part though, actually, n/m

Maisie Williams was just cast as Wolfsbane in the upcoming New Mutants movie (which I somehow only heard about for the first time this week). That might be the most perfectly spot-on X-Men casting decision since Kelsey Grammer's brief tenure as Beast.

And as a huge X-Men fan can I just say, as it sounds like they're going with the old school roster, that I'm 1000000000x more excited about a New Mutants movie than I have been about any of the X-Men movies. Seriously, if Warlock is in this thing I might pretty much just die.

my greatest wish for this is that maisie williams plays rahne with the same godawful scottish accent that claremont used to write for her

if Shipp is in this, does that mean it's gonna take place in 1988 or thereabouts?also i'll crack up if they bring in Cable to connect this to Deadpool 2
― Nhex, Friday, 1 April 2016 16:30 (eight years ago) link
Well, I guess they're also making an X-Force movie in the wake of Deadpool's massive success? I assume the X-Force and New Mutants films are separate things, anyway.

My Batroc-ization of Gambit's dialogue is a reminder that Claremont's accents could be seen as relatively restrained in comparison to those employed elsewhere in the Marvel universe.

Maisie Williams as Wolfsbane has been debunked by Fox. Should've known it was 2 good 2B true.
