I just started watching Vikings this weekend -- no thread for it, I gather? It's a wee bit corny but fuck it I don't care I like it anyway.

I've heard some good things but I can't be bothered.

all I needed was the opening shot of Odin walking through the battlefield and I was hooked

Apparently Australians and French viewers get Vikings nudity which is withheld from the rest of the world (VegGrrl will understand this when she learns it's on SBS here)

I can't get into vikings. There's just something fundamentally wrong with a show where vikings call having sex "having sex."

to be more specific, the scene involved Ragnar's wife being all "did you have sex with her?!" in reference to some other lady, and it's like, dude, he's a viking remember? also you are a viking.

I only watched S1 of Raising Hope, and I liked it, but I have no idea what it turned into over the following three seasons. Still, I hate knowing it won't be around anymore. Television needs Martha Plimpton.

Why do I have this feeling she's not nearly as fun on that show

Garrett Dillahunt also pretty amazing on Raising Hope too. But yeah, this show's been kind of out of gas for a while, lucky we got four seasons at all tbh

she is, sort of, except that her character's role is exasperating lawyer-trix antagonist, so you kind of have to find that fun despite identifying with alicia florrick, who is less amused

I'm really liking Resurrection, even having watched Les Revenants earlier last year. It's a different story rather than a remake, and done pretty well for ABC imo.
