Kroll Show is great

I got the glares, the mutterings, the snarls (President Keyes), Saturday, 22 February 2014 01:52 (ten years ago) link

Yeah, that About a Boy pilot wasn't very good.

Murgatroid, Sunday, 23 February 2014 04:36 (ten years ago) link

when did the little boy in the middle become so creepy?

Mordy , Thursday, 27 February 2014 01:11 (ten years ago) link

I just started watching Vikings this weekend -- no thread for it, I gather? It's a wee bit corny but fuck it I don't care I like it anyway.

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Sunday, 2 March 2014 01:47 (ten years ago) link

I've heard some good things but I can't be bothered.

Insane Prince of False Binaries (Gukbe), Sunday, 2 March 2014 02:10 (ten years ago) link

all I needed was the opening shot of Odin walking through the battlefield and I was hooked

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Sunday, 2 March 2014 02:15 (ten years ago) link

Yah Vikings has been filling my Spartacus void.

Spottie, Sunday, 2 March 2014 04:48 (ten years ago) link

spartacus was a bit too sexytimes for me...i like that there are lots of clothed scenes in vikings, lol

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Sunday, 2 March 2014 04:51 (ten years ago) link

Yah def not the same but you know.

Spottie, Sunday, 2 March 2014 05:02 (ten years ago) link

Apparently Australians and French viewers get Vikings nudity which is withheld from the rest of the world (VegGrrl will understand this when she learns it's on SBS here)

ornamental cabbage (James Morrison), Wednesday, 5 March 2014 23:28 (ten years ago) link

shut

up

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Wednesday, 5 March 2014 23:54 (ten years ago) link

now I feel conflicted about how happy I was that there was no nudity, becuase I'm thinking about all the hypothetical nudity that I am missing out on and I'm :(

Another reason to be pissed off about the post retune loss of sbs.

American Fear of Pranksterism (Ed), Thursday, 6 March 2014 01:19 (ten years ago) link

I can't get into vikings. There's just something fundamentally wrong with a show where vikings call having sex "having sex."

Simon H., Thursday, 6 March 2014 01:34 (ten years ago) link

"I'd like 'raid her village' ifyaknowhatImean"

Insane Prince of False Binaries (Gukbe), Thursday, 6 March 2014 01:37 (ten years ago) link

lol I was thinking the same when I heard that beauty!

xelab, Thursday, 6 March 2014 01:38 (ten years ago) link

"girl you get with me and i'll make you vallHOLLA"

Insane Prince of False Binaries (Gukbe), Thursday, 6 March 2014 01:38 (ten years ago) link

it's corny, no doubt... i think the biggest selling point for me is that Ragnar is an Aussie version of Charlie Hunnam :D

hence my newfound sadness over edited nudity

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Thursday, 6 March 2014 03:05 (ten years ago) link

"your vagina, that's where i'm a viking"

he always came across as a great guy in Kerrang! in the 90s (some dude), Thursday, 6 March 2014 03:50 (ten years ago) link

i gotta use that line someday

Nhex, Thursday, 6 March 2014 03:55 (ten years ago) link

lol

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Thursday, 6 March 2014 03:58 (ten years ago) link

to be more specific, the scene involved Ragnar's wife being all "did you have sex with her?!" in reference to some other lady, and it's like, dude, he's a viking remember? also you are a viking.

Simon H., Thursday, 6 March 2014 04:13 (ten years ago) link

also you are in a show called vikings

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Thursday, 6 March 2014 04:18 (ten years ago) link

also look at that hat you are wearing

j., Thursday, 6 March 2014 04:42 (ten years ago) link

NO HATS thats why it's awesome

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Thursday, 6 March 2014 04:52 (ten years ago) link

that's another thing, they should have viking hats. see hagar the horrible

Simon H., Thursday, 6 March 2014 04:58 (ten years ago) link

you dont deserve a viking show

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Thursday, 6 March 2014 05:00 (ten years ago) link

PSY talks The Nut Job (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 6 March 2014 15:25 (ten years ago) link

Review is okay, don't know if it's the format or what but I don't feel encouraged to return to it week after week.

Murgatroid, Sunday, 9 March 2014 02:20 (ten years ago) link

i am thinking abt watching Believe

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Sunday, 9 March 2014 02:37 (ten years ago) link

until they clear up whether it's named after cher's 'believe' or lenny kravitz's 'believe' i'm staying the hell away

balls, Sunday, 9 March 2014 03:12 (ten years ago) link

I thought they were already bringing back Heroes...

Nhex, Sunday, 9 March 2014 03:17 (ten years ago) link

also I would like to say that Almost Human is one of my favorite shows on tv right now. Consistently good stories!

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Sunday, 9 March 2014 05:41 (ten years ago) link

http://tvline.com/2014/03/10/raising-hope-cancelled-series-finale-season-4/

I only watched S1 of Raising Hope, and I liked it, but I have no idea what it turned into over the following three seasons. Still, I hate knowing it won't be around anymore. Television needs Martha Plimpton.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 10 March 2014 20:15 (ten years ago) link

martha plimpton is regularly recurring on the good wife

j., Monday, 10 March 2014 20:19 (ten years ago) link

Why do I have this feeling she's not nearly as fun on that show

Nhex, Monday, 10 March 2014 20:27 (ten years ago) link

Garrett Dillahunt also pretty amazing on Raising Hope too. But yeah, this show's been kind of out of gas for a while, lucky we got four seasons at all tbh

Nhex, Monday, 10 March 2014 20:27 (ten years ago) link

she is, sort of, except that her character's role is exasperating lawyer-trix antagonist, so you kind of have to find that fun despite identifying with alicia florrick, who is less amused

j., Monday, 10 March 2014 20:28 (ten years ago) link

Is anyone else watching Enlisted? The ending of tonight's episode made me tear up.

Herbie Handcock (Murgatroid), Saturday, 15 March 2014 01:53 (ten years ago) link

yeah Enlisted has been growing on me

acluelessdic (some dude), Saturday, 15 March 2014 02:05 (ten years ago) link

and yes that last scene had me a lil emotional as well, okay, murgatroid?

acluelessdic (some dude), Saturday, 15 March 2014 02:05 (ten years ago) link

finally watched a few eps of Kroll Show ... Gigolo House and The Legend of Young Larry Bird won me over. DYING

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Saturday, 15 March 2014 02:42 (ten years ago) link

how did kroll show get laura dern

johnny crunch, Sunday, 16 March 2014 01:34 (ten years ago) link

I'm really liking Resurrection, even having watched Les Revenants earlier last year. It's a different story rather than a remake, and done pretty well for ABC imo.
