ILM 2013 Tracks Poll: Murmuration of Stats, Ballots and Real Punks

Lol @ my Blood Sausage award. I was gonna use emil.y's 'nobody within or without' line but I did get a few songs that got some traction behind them ( The Hive, Rianticism is Always Fatal, Oh Bondage Up Yours!)

My other two votes besides Bardo Pond were #beautiful (which is kind of a Starburst commercial but I do like better than Get Lucky or Blurred Lines) and KING's In the Meantime which I thought was way cool. Voted for Amel in albums ballot. Wouldve posted 'Trapped Being Human' for imago if lex hadnt got to it first.

I feel a little exhausted after that... can't wait for the albums roll-out.

You'll probably hate a lot of it but it's relatively varied, I think.

I'm mostly enjoying it actually, only as far as Hookworms though. Yamakata and Matmos really good.

One of my favourite things about the individual ballots is seeing how stuff that I only quite like is vitally important to others, it's a good reminder that there's always more to whatever you're listening to than merely what you hear in it.

Given how many songs we all hear and kind-of-like in a given year, Top 25 is a pretty strict cutoff.

That TT track has been my secret DJ weapon this year! Girls go fucking nuts when you put that on.

Personally I think 25 works well.

but now? A larger ballot would work on albums but I dont think tracks.

How about giving the #1 more points tho?

You could give a "#1 bonus", then you'd have to decide what to do with unweighted ballots and how to minimise fractional scores.
