Getting up early and instantly putting on music is one of the things I miss most about being single.

Sorry - with coffee, obv.
'single with coffee' should be a daytime show on the OWN network

This isn't a lot of caffeine compared to others, but last night I had 5 espresso shots in the course of 2 hours.

It was the most caffeine I've ever had in a day.
I was just on a commuter bus with Meters on my ipod and jacked to the gills on iced coffee. Plus people kept giving me free caffeine through the day. I'm still pretty good, to be honest!

I'm probably going to sound like a bit of a lightweight, but I've had a 500ml can of Emerge, a large Twix, and a coffee. Now I'm listening to Porn Sword Tobacco and it feels like my head's floating separate from my body.

My tolerance for caffeine seems to have gone way up in the last six months. Now normally I only have like a can of Red Bull or similar a day, so this is not my regular daily consumption, but on Friday I had a 250ml can of Red Bull on the way to work, a 330ml bottle of Lucozade at lunch, and a 500ml can of Relentless on the way to the bus station after work. The funny thing is that I didn't even realise until Saturday morning when I totalled it up, and the caffeine hadn't even pierced the dull exhaustion I feel at my shitarse IT Support job most days.

I mean two years ago that much caffeine would have put me in RARARAGAAAH Henry Rollins rage mode.

^^^ ah those halcyon days when energy drinks in the UK were all sugar instead of half sugar/half sweetener.
Meanwhile, today I drank a Monster Energy (black can green logo) and it tasted like liquid soap or possibly the cheapest fucking gumballs.

Now try going cold turkey for a week and see how you feel.

I have a couple of times in the last two years. There are all kinds of warnings about headaches from caffeine withdrawal but I didn't notice any effects. Someone at work was talking about how they drink a small can of Red Bull and basically don't feel any different while one of their colleagues reported getting the jitters from the same amount of caffeine. Certainly I am a long way from where I was upthread five years ago - drinking a weak Red Bull knock-off and a coffee and feeling like I'm stuck to the ceiling? Not any more. Although I have to say that the Monster Energy has a pleasant light background buzz. Pity that it tastes like my anti-dandruff shampoo smells.
