Tim's Continuing Emo Adventures Part Seventeen: my god "Summertime" is just the best thing.

Tim F, Saturday, 5 October 2013 04:43 (ten years ago) link

i am glad you are here with me on this

there is something so natural and easy to the movement of the tune, that radio sweetness

also i will forever love the whole concept's art: http://varnishstudio.com/work/danger-days

after you remove yourself from the drip, the conventional weapons eps are good methadone

Yes, the movement. The rises and falls in this tune are so seductive.

the tracklist to the hits comp underlines for me that though they had a solid run of singles, they weren't really a singles band, except for in the Black Parade era, which is funny because that's when they made their most obvious Big Statement Album attempt.

'new' song sucks, wish they'd left it at Conventional Weapons

honestly i’ve made my peace with “sing.” this is their best album

I actually like "Sing"! It's "Planetary" that doesn't work for me

but yeah on balance I think you're right
