uh, so i was looking for one of my older gifs today - the camouflage walking guy gif, which for some reason has always been a big hit, had about 37,000 notes on tumblr, was shown at Miami Art Basel and BAM, etc - and couldn't find it. it just disappeared off of my blog. i finally found it via a google search:

full disclosure: i grabbed the horizontal lines from a random google image search, and i got the silhouette by grabbing footage of a guy walking on youtube and drawing a lasso around his silhouette in 8 of the frames.

not yet, i just noticed about 10 minutes ago. and of course first made a whiny post on tumblr to complain about the injustice. it's the tumblr way. i'm not exactly sure who to contact tbh

If they get you for some blurrrrhed lines and some rando from youtube, then I'm fucking doomed with mine.

If Richard Prince can literally just take photograph certain images from Marlboro campaigns and sell them as original pieces of art, then surely I can take some lines and use them in a creative way without violating copyright, right?

at any rate i'm just going to repost it again, and keep doing it even if someone asks for it to be taken down, because that's bullshit, and also it would be the funniest case ever to appear in court
