Uncle Glen has *EARNED* the right to look absolutely ridiculous, darlin'. Those little god-fearin' snots in Good Charlotte haven't and -- in the patois of the streets -- are frontin' & perpin'!
AFI strike me as a band I should like, but I can't get beyond that guy's voice.

Phil Collins was in there, so by definition, yes, they were.

Well, there wasn't much of a precedent for the Beatles. Good Charlotte is about the, oh, 2,815th punk band to traipse down the pike since Johnny Rotten told off Winterland.

Also "Out of step while they all get in line / I'm just a minor threat, so pay no mind" is a great lyric but otherwise I'm really waiting for it to break into Jimmy Eat World's "The Middle".

Good Charlotte said: "This is the anthem, throw all your hands up, y'all got to feel me, sing if you're with me"
I wonder how Ian MacKaye feels when he hears the "Out Of Step...Minor THreat" line.

they're from the dc area (referenced elsewhere on the album) and it's pretty clear both rips are directly taken from Bring The Pain, which is more a sign of a lack of imagination than crypto-racism.
this remains one of my favorite albums of the last decade, possibly my favorite actually successful one. I wish recent stuff inspired me to be so ridicously passionate.
