pretty good card on espn2 tonight - Mike Tyson's debut as promoter. first thing he did was walk unannounced into the broadcast area to apologize to Teddy Atlas and ask his forgiveness. Mike's psychic state is just so raw, his interview later was 1/2 AA/NA textbook and 1/2 evident soul-searching - when the interviewer asks "what one fight defined you?" he said "no one fight but if people want to understand Mike Tyson, the Buster Douglas fight to now." Said it twice. I'm always wanting for Tyson to redeem himself, to get the peace he clearly needs, though he's still unrepentant about his rape conviction I guess. but if he's talking to Teddy, jeez, anything could happen.

the fights themselves aren't huge names but they're good matchups. mendez v. usmanee right now is a tall guy vs a short guy but they're going at it phonebooth style, it's really good.
