Ooooh rhubarb salsa! That sounds interesting.

I had been thinking of doing a rhubarb crisp with a custard sauce, but I looked at the recipe and it takes 8 cups of rhubarb. I would need to pick more rhubarb and probably find people to eat it (I'd send it through the mail, tehresa, but I don't think that would work well...).

you could just make a smaller crisp, no? maybe in little ramekins for individual crisps.

Probably, yes. I could halve the recipe, buy more rhubarb, pick more rhubarb or choose a different recipe. For some reason (possibly my squabbling children), I am totally overwhelmed by all of these ideas right now. I'll probably feel cheerful about the possibilities again tomorrow, though.

BUT I should thank you, because you have reminded me that I actually own little ramekins and I never EVER use them. I should!
