I thought the end joke was that the whole show was imagined by some future person (a nod the St Elsewhere's ending). But maybe making that person Kenneth says otherwise.

yeah nickn, it was a reference to that, but the gag is not that Kenneth imagined it, but that LL's great-granddaughter pitched 30 Rock to Kenneth as a show idea in like 2120 or whatever (and of course Kenneth is still president of NBC because, as established, he is immortal)

I didn't notice the daughter, or don't remember it now in any event.

Good ending, just the right amount of sentimentality.

btw re "callback," this already means something else in showbiz, and u sound like a fucking producer when you use it -- find another word.

These were the best days of my flerm.

This was so great. Probably the best show of the past decade. I really loved how Jenna only got sad when they were taking away her mirror. That shot of her looking at the mirror as it was being taken off the wall, with the weird subtle shifting perspective framing her in it, was really quite a beautiful way to show her world crashing down around her.
