i think KD is the best album of the first third of the decade (although something may blow it away prior to may 1st).

Yeah images looked great! Ace job JF, seandalai and ilm for a fantastic countdown. What I thought was a bit lacklustre year actually looks top notch all ganged up in that recap.

Hurrah for Miguel! Was in the lower half of my ballot (alongside Dawn Richard and John Talabot and Chromatics) but I can definitely get behind it as the consensus #1.

These lists are always great. I didn't engage much with music this year for various reasons so I'm looking forward to going through this. Had I been registered/voted in this the cherry thing would've been my #1, just an incredible album (when was the last time a jazz album placed in this poll btw?)

people always act like coffee table dinner party album is such a lol strawman but grimes was for really realsies the undesired faint background muzak to so very much of my illstarred 2012
