"Jeans" is wonderful! not much about its cut-up vox screams 'Todd' to me but otoh it's another great C&A one-off - i've heard a fair amount of trad jackin' house and yet i couldn't name a single tune that brings the glitz and friskiness of 2step in a remotely similar fashion

really good to hear his stuff compiled together, Licky was one of the first tracks I discovered through bigtunesmp3. pure 'ardcore in both the cheesy/kiddy sing along chorus, and the breaks. The bass is so /gloopy/

I'm still not really on the bus in the direction this thread has taken but 'Get Enough' is amazing.

no nothing to do with jackin, i brought it up in negative comparison to regular "deep" current house to make the point about ldn's lifeless and uninspired inferior aping of it - danny daze for beginners kinda thing

i hadn't shuffle in mind but idk i'd originally assumed that scene was a little more strung-out, minimal and techy than that scotty d is for some reason

instead it turns out shuffle and the vaguer thing i was aiming at are closely twinned if not indeed more or less the same

i mean i think i can kinda detect a slightly ruffer slant on house in shuffle sets than maybe you'd normally get but still to make a buzz and a dance and etc about it all is like duhhhhhhh, have a cookie kids
