'Sie Liebt Dich', because they're this close to cracking up over 'dich' being pronounced pretty much like 'dick'.

I'm not going to be able to listen to that now without hearing 'Sie Liebt Dick', which of course changes the WHOLE MEANING of the track!

I first heard these versions when I bought "The Beatles Rarities" on tape in early 81, from WH Smiths in Cardiff, so I was 11 or 12. It was a great tape and got played loads. A few months later I'd started German classes in school and in an attempt to ingratiate myself with the teacher, I told her "I've got a tape of the Beatles singing in German". She was impressed and wanted me to bring the tape in and play it to the class. The night before I set the tape in the right place to play "Komm.." and took it in. The class was well impressed - well, not really. My teacher was well impressed and kept pointing out words from the lyric that the class knew - so even now when I heard "Glucklich" in the middle eight I hear Mrs Keane in my head repeating it to the class. The only problem was that there was one song between the two German songs on the tape, so I told her to fast forward for a minute. She did this, pressed play and the last 45 seconds of "You know my name" blasted out across the classroom, to much amusement from the class and much horror to Mrs Keane. She seemed relieved to hear "Sie liebt dich" start.
Choosing between the two, I would chose "Sie liebt dich" because it's a better recording of the song, it just sounds like they're having more fun.

The guitars are one of the big things I like about "I Want to Hold Your Hand"/"Komm Gib mir Deine Hand." Voted for that.

Komm, gib mir deine Hand is a pretty good translation of I wanna hold your hand. Especially as it is not a word by word translation. It translates one expression for another and they mean more or less the same. The Komm does not really translate into come, it is more like come on. Main difference is that in English he just talks about HIMSELF wanting to touch her hand, whereas in German he is directly speaking to her that SHE should act and give him her hand. Not quite sure but maybe that is a question of mentality. Voted for Komm, gib mir deine Hand, cannot listen to She loves you in any language anymore.
