I don't actually care, like, at all, what happens to 77 but the endless whining about mods messing with some kind of divine right to talk shit about people behind their backs is what riles me. These arguments always remind me of the Sexual Harassment episode of the Office.

I'm in favour of making 77 invisible again (or at least invisible to unregistered users) and throwing off anyone who uses it for bitching, fwiw. I feel kind of bad for the people who posted personal shit there on the basis that it was secret.

I think the issue is that it's difficult to tell which is which and I know enough about some posters not to consider giving them the benefit of the doubt.
