Wayans in the tub with his suit on was funny enough, but the fact that he had his briefcase in there with him was next-level.

My only complaint about this show is the unnecessary wacky music bed, which I think must exist as a result of some network dictate since it's present in pretty much every ABC comedy/dramedy. But I admit that I have a general pet peeve about superfluous scores in movies and TV, so maybe it's just me.

He's the Car Czar, he knows what cars are.

i loved penny going through the window (twice !) after freaking out. and jane as a witch. which reminded me of the "kerkovich way" episode for some reason.

WE BOUGHT A ZOO jokes are still gold.

i'm kinda OK with the big 4 developing all the sitcoms and then letting the ones that are good but only cultishly popular go to cable; it's not like barely any cable networks have demonstrated an ability to create good sitcoms.

Nah. Whatever happens, the one guarantee is that the "cultish" shows make money on dvd. No passing that up.

at the beginning of S2 I was completely and almost exclusively on the Brad/Jane bandwagon, and now all six of them are equally amazing

I still don't like Dave that much, but occasionally he gets in a good one.

(I mean, I don't NOT like Dave...just don't think he adds a whole lot.)

Dave's self-satisfied "actually I am totally genius at this completely banal thing" smuggery just keeps going to elevated heights of funny to me. The Treme explanation from the Xmas episode and his interplay with his doppelganger this episode were amazing.

Knighton and Cuthbert could've been unwelcome vestiges of back when the show started off with the premise of having 'romantic leads' with 'on again/off again tension' but now that they've all but abandoned that concept except for when it's useful for jokes both have them have kept up with the rest of the cast and been very funny imo (xp)

i feel like this seasons they're more shrill from the get-go, that instead of scenes getting crazy they're all mugging and shrieking from the get-go. it's still consistently hilarious but yeah i don't see it making new friends at this point

Okay, now I'm remembering certain Dave things (^ this scene included) and he's making me giggle. Dave wins. I'm a believer.

I do think there's a tendency to overrate Dave and Alex over the past season and a half because of where those characters started but let's not front; they're both hilarious.

i really can't blame ABC for losing interest in a show that morphed from a romance plot to basically six actors in a conga line shouting '80s references, and a show where at least 50% of the jokes are about a WB has-been. yes, i am the market for those shows, but i know any show i am the market for doesn't deserve to live.

I feel like Dave finally came into his own this season. For the first time, I don't wonder what the fuck he's doing in this cast.

But Jane and Brad, man, if this gets cancelled, they should, I dunno, co-host a variety show or something. I'd watch the fuck out of it.
