"chum" is pretty fantastic

that dude captain murphy though, his aesthetic sounds too much like a young doom to me. to the point of being derivative

"chum" video isn't bad, but it's no "earl." The difference between these two videos essentially explains the difference in what I'm hearing... More planned out, less spontaneous. The energy from the EARL mixtape is not really showing up in anything I've heard from him in 2012. :(

Hearing Laetitia Sadier on a Tyler album is v strange.

on second or third listen I love "Whoa."

yeah none of the Tyler album is as good as "Whoa," the Earl one is gonna be the one to watch for sure

the guests on this are the def highlights along with a couple stray Tyler joints. haven't kept up at all since Goblin besides that sort of crappy MellowHype record, did Domo Genesis improve a ton in the interim? he sounds great on the track on here

Can w Tim Hardin in rehearsal, it says (live rehearsal? Somebody responds favorably at the end). An efficiently semi-funky groove--nice drums, for sure---Hardin shows up about 5 minutes into this 11 minute-plus workout, with surprisingly agile lumberjack vocals. I thought he might just be broody, but he's into it, in a bluesy way. Sound is a bit distanced, whether source or YouTube, but clear enough.
