I haven't seen the movie, so that's why I didn't get it. Interesting to hear about the friendship, though I guess NY was West Coast and therefore socialized in the same circles as the BB.

Has anyone else seen that documentary about the troubled children of rock stars? It had the daughter of Jerry Garcia (Grateful Dead) who was very depressed, there might have been another child of a rock star, but the only one I remember is the son of Mike Love. Mike Love's son was talking about his great memories of Carl Wilson and other things, but then went on to saying that Mike Love just said "you're not my son" one day and immediately disowned him. He was still incredibly upset about it and he was demanding an explanation. For some reason, the show never told you who he was living with now, but he looked like he was still living in very good circumstances, riding quad bikes with his friends.
