I feel like a srsly corny bastard, but I bought one of the travel pass holders (despite already having the reissues on CD...), and it seems like a perfectly serviceable piece of plastic and the band name is not cut off irl. In my defence, I'd been reduced to taping my original travel pass holder together with tape and it was on its last legs in terms of serviceability. But yeah, some shame here.

At this point i don't really care. We have "Loveless", we have "Isn't Anything". If you really want more MBV then you have all those EPs and rare singles and stuff. Unless they've been performing great new material on tours and it has been blowing minds, it seems like a new MBV is pretty much set up to disappoint.

Hopefully there will be enough time passed that it will be different enough to be interesting even if it doesn't stand up to that period.

he is surely one of the most prominent procrastinators of all time

i believe the record is done, though i can't see how it would be possible for it to be released by the end of the year unless it's already being pressed

Just needs a bit of luck, he's obviously had quite a few 'bad weekends' in the last, oooh, 20 years.

Stuff just keeps coming up. He was going to work on it on the weekend of August 29, 1998, for example, but at the last second he realized that he really needed to make a big trip to the store to pick up some hard-to-find ingredients for a big dinner party he was hosting on the 31st. And then on the 15-16 of March 2003 he was supposed to have some free time but then his Uncle made an unexpected visit and he had to show him around the city for the millionth time. "Jeez Uncle Terry, I'm trying to made a record here! Guess I'll have to work on it next weekend..." Then of course on April 9th, 2005 it started raining really hard just when he was about to head out the door to the studio....
