Isn't Andre Benjamin like 40 now? How can he play someone who's 15 years younger than him?

I will go see this in theaters, just to relish in the absolute fail of it all. Oh, I can't wait.

See, I really enjoyed the film, but I never really got convinced that AS was ID, not really. People say he did a really good job, and I would agree, but Dury was so much a one-off that I don't think it could have been done. Also, the film was more about Baxter really, which I entirely approve of..

well that was kinda my point -- i wasn't familiar enough with Dury to be bothered by that

"All Along The Watchtower" is used in like 9000 other movies and was not written by Jimi Hendrix, so would they be able to use that? Or what about "Hey Joe?"

Seems to be a glaring oversight in the article IMO since those are 2 of his most famous songs

Also no access to his catalog is a super bummer in general since super-sad-Hendrix-lyrics are a big part of what makes him compelling IMO.

"Star Spangled Banner" would be the centerpiece of any trad life-spanning biopic too, but again who knows if that's even what they're going for

that's jimi in 1967 at the age of 25. andre looks just as young at his current age of 37.

This reminds me of when they did What's Love Got to Do with It? about Ike and Tina with about 17 versions of "Proud Mary."
