do listening room/turntable.fm actually work? i never tried either
― O_o-O_O-o_O (jjjusten), Friday, 22 June 2012 05:39 (eleven years ago) link
Listening room ceased to be last December. Turntable probably still works, but it's dumb and it's US only.

I was going to revive ILXCHATZ this week but I haven't been on my home computer much.
― mississippi joan hart (crüt), Friday, 22 June 2012 12:34 (eleven years ago) link
i thought for sure that AG declaring it dead would cause it to revive, so i waited, but nothing:(
how will i force people to listen to cumbia "iron man" now?

i already posted this to the soundway thread AND lol facebook so i feel like someone owes me a commission, but i think the only way to get to the song itself is by going here http://thequietus.com/articles/09117-listen-ondatropica-i-ron-man

OIC it's a completely different band.

the 'not buggy' in the title was unfortunate, if they could have ironed out some of the glitches it might have generated more interest and provided a case for its continued existence

the interface was p much perfect
if only they got rid of the upload limit?

Have you guys ever used Mumu?
It has its cons (mainly that there's a five user limit to a room), but it's endured past Turntable.fm, The Listening Room and Outloud.fm.

I've been on mumu a few times. I always forget about it, though!
― Johnny Fever, Friday, 29 June 2012 02:43 (eleven years ago) link
I like Mumu for the sole fact that you don't have to register or sign in in any way whatsoever. You can just get on the site and go. And it doesn't seem to be browser-sensitive.
― Austin, Friday, 29 June 2012 02:45 (eleven years ago) link
Mumu just doesn't have the community capability that Listening Room or Outloud did, hence why it's easy to forget.
I miss you guys, though.

I guess we could all get one of those google+ group things I see on tv where some girl is getting married and somebody else is cooking and whatever, but I don't want to look at any of you :P
― Johnny Fever, Friday, 29 June 2012 02:55 (eleven years ago) link
I have so much metal I want to subject introduce you guys to!
― Hamster of Legend (J3ff T.), Friday, 29 June 2012 02:55 (eleven years ago) link
Isn't there something that can be done? I can strong-arm or sweet talk as needed. I def don't need to see anyone though. I just want to listen to/chat about tunes & stuff.
― nicest bitch of poster (La Lechera), Friday, 29 June 2012 02:56 (eleven years ago) link
I don't miss any of you.
― The Reverend, Friday, 29 June 2012 02:58 (eleven years ago) link
We could take up a collection to donate to the programmers to get things up and running again, but I suspect if any of us had that much money to burn we wouldn't be spending our free time on outloud.
― Hamster of Legend (J3ff T.), Friday, 29 June 2012 02:59 (eleven years ago) link
Aww Rev, you know you miss us.
I don't want to look at any of you :P
Yeah, I don't want to ruin my mental image of all the outloud crew as super-buff hotties.

haha - maybe we could limit the visuals to jeff's hamster

― Hamster of Legend (J3ff T.), Friday, 29 June 2012 04:55 (eleven years ago) link
But seriously, does somebody want to e-mail them and see if they can get the code?
― Hamster of Legend (J3ff T.), Friday, 29 June 2012 05:19 (eleven years ago) link
I would if I had any idea what to do with it. I'm guessing there would be no circumvention of its grey-area legality if we made one ilx0rs-only, right? It'd still be a bit dodgy? Otherwise I'd be totally up for puppy-dog-eyes-ing at stet/keith.
