i am way too much of a tornado in the kitchen to keep a piano in it.

arby's, Thursday, 17 May 2012 20:56 (1 year ago) Permalink

yeah something tells me the piano isn't going to get out of my way when i bark at it with a bunch of stuff in my hands

Doorknob Display: Backstage passes, from Case's concerts and her friends' shows, hang on a doorknob.

pretty common for people who make their living on tour to hang laminates in bunches from a bedpost or a doorknob

This is a great thread. Tried to find Rick Wakeman's appearance on 'Through the Keyhole' but failed. Ah well. It was just a house full of synths and wizards, anyway.

x-post

So Mr. Stipe has put his penthouse loft home and studio on Canal Street in SoHo on the market for $10.95 million as he searches for a suitable downtown work space to share with his partner, Thomas Dozol, a photographer and silk-screen artist.

Michael Stipe's place is for sale.

yes to the kitchen! NO to the study. that wallpaper would give me a headache

most of the house is a bit too whitewashed for me, I'd be scared of getting things dirty bcs I am a walking dirtsmudge

Peppermint Patty Hearst (VegemiteGrrl), Tuesday, 26 June 2012 18:09 (11 months ago) Permalink

agree with the whitewashed comment, but I like the super patterned wallpaper (blame acid...)

Peppermint Patty Hearst (VegemiteGrrl), Tuesday, 26 June 2012 18:13 (11 months ago) Permalink

Media room is nice, yeah. Sort of like the study too but I wouldn't want walls that busy *as a study*. Kitchen is just a kitchen - the only thing that I'm like "yes" to is the sheer amount of room they have, y'know. If someone gave me that house I wouldn't be anything other than made up about it, but the decor is yawwwwwwwwn for the most part.

emil.y, Tuesday, 26 June 2012 18:14 (11 months ago) Permalink

it's cool that there are a couple of 'relaxed' though

always boggle at houses wehre there's SO many rooms. like you half expect them to have a 'day kitchen' and a 'guest kitchen'

Peppermint Patty Hearst (VegemiteGrrl), Tuesday, 26 June 2012 18:15 (11 months ago) Permalink

*'relaxed (rooms) though

"I'd be scared of getting things dirty bcs I am a walking dirtsmudge"
