agree w/ all this. tho there are over 10 canon films from the 60s/70s I dropped from my ballot to make room for other stuff, my breakdown by decade still looks like:

20s - 2
30s - 2
40s - 1
50s - 3
60s - 7
70s - 18
80s - 8
90s - 5
00s - 4

apparently 1973 was the most horrifying year on record, and, with one off-the-wall exception, all my post 80s picks ended up being non-US.

kino's blu-ray of ganja and hess came out yesterday. one of my last ballot cuts.

Burton's Dark Shadows is set in 1972, which explains why it's not horrifying I guess.

It's crazy how many of my all-time favorite movies are horror.
