like if i ever had the need to watch something like that i would much rather have carnival of souls or psycho on and be done with it.

yesterday i almost posted that you (and ed3) have been relentlessly otm throughout this thread.

now i am glad i got drunk and forgot what i was doing and played a mega man emulator instead.

ok to be fair i prob need to take a step back, ive kind of been mainlining old horror movies and giallos so i feel like i can vote fairly in this and it might be doing my head in a little bit, i think i watched who can kill a duckling and the start of two other things before getting to this one, so it seemed like a bit of a slog.

What did you think of Don't Torture A Duckling?

I mentioned upthread that Repulsion seems several steps away from Psycho - it goes farther, handles various things more explicitly. I thought it was great, especially stuff like the arms bursting through the walls in the hallway, cracks appearing abruptly in the building, her pulling back the covers of her bed and having a crazed rapist leap out from under them etc

yeah i dunno, i think it's great, close to my favorite polanski and quite accessible. set and setting, though...

so since this all started and in the interests of research i've watched Possession, Amer, Pontypool, Tourist Trap, The Witch Who Came From The Sea, Pulse, Drag Me To Hell, Below and Apaches. Although I liked them all to varying degrees (apart from maybe Below) prob only Possession will make my 50. Got Paperhouse, Who Can Kill A Child and Hour Of The Wolf lined up (yes, I've been doing lots of youtubing). Obv I can't list everything I've seen but assuming I'm a pretty big horror fan and have seen most of the canonical ones, does anybody have personal recommendations for something I really, REALLY need to see before the deadline?

okay aside from someone fronting us five million to make it, we're like almost there folks.

just putting it out there, i will act in anyones horror movie as long as they fly me to where it is being filmed and provide booze. lodging and food would be nice, but with enough booze i can work around that.

really glad that i specified horror movie there before DJP enlisted me to star in his magnum opus "1 Guy 1 Cup"

I can do your credits, strongo. Just downloaded a 'scratchy film' filter for Premiere and a Marilyn Manson song, so I'm good to go.

I would make a great extra, I'm nondescript and unmemorable and won't pull focus from the lead. And I take instruction really well.

Yeah, I have a friend who went to the Pittsburgh Art Institute to study under Savini, and he's doing effects in Tarantino movies and stuff now, so his programs are presumably the Real Deal.
