Dayum. With the beard, you have a total Larry Fishburne in "Boyz in da Hood" thing happening. Keep the beard. It works.

cue "White Rabbit" (kenan), Monday, 23 April 2012 18:26 (2 years ago) Permalink

And if you'd rather stay clean-shaven, let me say that I feel your pain. I get a five-o'clock shadow at 2.

cue "White Rabbit" (kenan), Monday, 23 April 2012 18:29 (2 years ago) Permalink

I have to chime in and say that's a great beard.
I'm kind of jealous of men who can grow a beard easily, but OTOH shaving is already difficult enough as it is.

Cheggers Plays Populous (snoball), Monday, 23 April 2012 18:33 (2 years ago) Permalink

I'm lucky as hell to work in an office where if you haven't shaven for two days, nobody accuses you of looking like a bum. This is especially good because with two days of growth and a hot shower and a single-blade safety razor, you get the best possible shave. The blade has to be able to cut something, and not just have you applying pressure to your skin with a blade that's designed more not to give you any nicks than it is to actually efficiently remove your facial hair.

cue "White Rabbit" (kenan), Monday, 23 April 2012 20:06 (2 years ago) Permalink

so very true

I have a near-constant stubble because shaving constantly sucks, this look can pass these days, and I am past the age where I also get a five o'clock stubble a few hours early

mh, Monday, 23 April 2012 20:13 (2 years ago) Permalink

I'm not actually cleanshaven there. Just took the hair trimmer to my face with the guard off. I don't shave unless I have to cause there are better types of hell.

I predicted that beard of JS's would be trouble--clearly the poor child has been accidentally glued to it and can't be removed. (Congratulations.)

This is something I'm doing for our class page in this year's yearbook:

(Taken the same time as the photo I posted upthread--I do frequently change clothes.)

Wait I missed the weekend WDYLLs and I have to say, Lechera just stepped out of War for the Oaks which is a whole novel about punk rock fairies, sort of, and amazingly good despite what you might think, and I want to give her a guitar and a band to front for right this second.
