We're All Alone. (And I think I remember Lido Shuffle edging slightly past Lowdown in terms of ILM luv)

"Dinah Flo" is a pretty good Van Morrison ripoff.

Miss seeing "Georgia" on the list. But, in the end, Lido Shuffle is undeniable.

I wonder what Boz would sound like singin' with the Dan
― Iago Galdston, Sunday, 22 April 2012 04:10 (1 year ago) Permalink
I'm sure he's fit right in!

It feels like a kind of predictable choice, but I gotta go with Lido Shuffle
― Moodles, Sunday, 22 April 2012 04:45 (1 year ago) Permalink
I'm really hoping I get a chance to sing it at karaoke some day

C or D: "Lido Shuffle"
― Doctor Casino, Sunday, 22 April 2012 05:30 (1 year ago) Permalink
I have done it at karaoke and it's fun! You have to be game for riding out the long solo but the highs are worth it. The one time I did it the karaoke guy was like, omg, THAT song! after I got done, clearly having been totally mystified when he'd entered in my request.

I prefer the Coolidge version of "We're All Alone" (it sounds like it was written for her voice specifically and no other), so probably gotta go with "Lowdown." Although I remember a time when I was about 10 where "Lido Shuffle" was so ubiquitous it's kind of hard NOT to click that button."

can't really make it out there, but Boz Scaggs and Pat Travers rule. Cheap Trick and Disco suck. Star Trek the Motion Picture.

JoJo was almost my choice, but I burned out on it recently--I hate that feeling when you play a favorite too many times!

Apologies to Silk Degrees fans: while it's marvelous I'm more enamored with Middle Man, the closest that Scaggs came to appropriating New Wave (as performed by Toto).

And Lowdown it is. There is no song here that's far superior.

the drumming on "It's Over" is so sick & the opening with backing vocals up front trick (Boz loves this one) works so beautifully

listening to side 2 of Silk Degrees at 5 a.m where I'm at in the dark alone in a hotel...this album isn't just top 5 for me, it's top 3. So so so so so so good.
