It was 1986, OK? I don't know what I was thinking.

I wanted it to look like John Taylor of Duran Duran, but barbers in rural northeast Ohio are stupid.

Phil D. the inspiration for John Hughes' entire filmography.
Would love to see how Eil33n Bu†† turned out.
Nicer than she was then, I hope...probably being unfair.

Fwiw I can see you were going for that John Taylor-y vibe.

My hair still looked like that a few years later! Who knows what year feathery hair finally died out in the midwest.

btw in my golf pic the dark-haired dude on the right is now dead. as dog is my witness, he was struck by lightning and killed back in 1995.

While collecting crab traps off a dock for a July 4 picnic. Yep, he was killed by lightning on the 4th of July.
It's how he would have wanted to go, tbh.

This site has the entire yearbook for my junior year (1971) in high school. Unless you shell out some money, all you can see are fairly small thumbnails.
I appear on pages: 32, 47, 61, 66, 67 (twice), 125, and somewhere in all those little portraits of juniors toward the back. I'm the young-looking guy with hair.

wow that is a hip yearbook, I would have considered spending money on my yearbook if it looked like that

I never bought or looked at any of my school's hs yearbooks, it already seemed kinda pointless and dated
I wonder if they're going to be fully digital soon

Center, favorite floral Generra shirt. NFL (National Forensic League) tournament, Clinton, Miss., 1990. I would go on to win 2nd in the state in HI (Humorous Interpretation) and make it to nationals, held in San Jose, Calif., that June where I was promptly eliminated.

Same table in the cafeteria, playing cards. I don't recall ever knowing how to play cards.

I remember working on the yearbook one year at my school, we actually worked in a newspaper's office, doing layout the old way taping photos onto the page along with typeset text chunks that they then imaged and printed into a book... it must have missed the DTP way of things by merely a year or 3 I reckon (1988 this was).

We did a shithouse job, too.
Extremely cool shirt. I hated the clothes they sold back then. I used to raid mom's (and even dad's closet) and hit the thrift stores for such stuff. We had a dress code, sometimes to be cool I'd steal an expensive seventies blouse from mom.

I think the mid-90s turned me off of plaid shirts forever and no matter how many shirts are available now I have trouble buying them

i used to feel that way about ratty old cardigans/v-neck sweaters, but now i realize that they are part of my uniform and therefore indispensible.

Me too about plaid and flannel. Got kind of old in the nineties. Cardigans I keep around because my grandmother hand made most of them. I still have my grandfather's cardigan from the fifties - it is real wool and forest green!
Here is me checking out colleges during my senior year. Wearing some fruity new wave dance outfit (dad's shirt over flowered dress and capri pants).
